Do I need to buy everyone in my party genie plus option or can I do one per family and manage all family members?

Hello there, Robert! Welcome to planDisney where you get the answers to your planning questions. We are so glad you're here.

Disney Genie+ is such a great add-on service if you really want to maximize your time in the parks. This service is something that each ticket would need to have added on to in order to benefit from the services. This means if everyone in your party wants to be able to make Lightning Lane selections and avoid the standard lines for participating attractions, each person would need to have that added to their ticket.

If your party decides to add Disney Genie+ to their tickets, I suggest that one person adds each ticket to their Disney account/Disneyland app and becomes the official group manager. All you will need to do is get their Ticket ID numbers or scan their barcodes through the app. Each member of your party can also have their tickets on their own account to manage if you split up. I just find it easier if there is one person who has all the tickets linked to their account who can make the next Lightning Lane selection in one easy transaction rather than having everyone trying to sync attractions and times.

If your party decides not to add on Disney Genie+, I think it could still be worthwhile for one person to purchase this add-on so that you can use it for unlimited digital downloads of PhotoPass photos for all your group photos.

Robert, I really think you'll enjoy having Disney Genie+ if attractions are a priority for your group. See you real soon!
