Do I need to bring proof of Southern California residence if I am coming to Disneyland with Southern California discount tickets? My sister is getting tickets for me and her and I am hoping to go a day without her but she is the one who is a resident.

    Heigh-ho, Marin!

It’s off to The Happiest Place On Earth you go! I'm glad you found us here while planning to get your Donald Ducks in a row for your visit this spring. It's fantastic to hear that you've discovered the special Southern California Resident Tickets offer for 2024. I love the flexibility that this ticket bundle offers for locals. Even though I’m a Magic Key Holder myself, I always make sure to snag this bundle of discounted tickets for my family whenever they become available so that we can enjoy the theme parks and make magical memories together!

So Marin, when your sister bought this ticket bundle, she had to enter a residential address within zip codes 90000 to 93599 in her Disneyland account before she was able to purchase it. In order to unlock the magic, you all will need to make a theme park reservation, download the Disneyland Mobile App, arrive at the turnstiles to scan in, and take a picture. A cast member may ask you to show a government-issued ID that has a Southern California residential address. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid California Driver's License, a valid active United States Armed Forces ID, or a valid original passport.

But Marin, after you've had your initial visit, there is no need for ID flashing again! Your photo will be linked to that ticket moving forward. So, feel free to plan outings with or without your sister.

I hope you get to soak up the magic of The Happiest Place on Earth, especially during the upcoming Valentine's, Lunar New Year, and the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival seasons, Marin! If you have any more questions, or if you'd like some of my favorite tips for planning your next visit, feel free to send me a direct question, and I can get back to you more quickly. I'm here to help make your Disney experience as magical as possible!
