What do we need to bring into the park? Sunscreen? room keys? snacks? camera of course..but best way to store these? fanny pack or backpack? do you have to rent lockers to store these while on rides? I am a single mom and want to pack light!!!

Kara, since you said it, I say go for it: rock the fanny pack. I don't have the gumption to go that route, so I saddle up with the man purse.

We don't ever get a locker because if we brought it into the parks with us, it's likely because we'll need it more than once. We stow lots of stuff in the bottom of our stroller, and then bring the valuables with us on attractions (most have a basket to hold your stuff while you ride. I prefer to wrap items around my feet on the floor. I hold onto my hats because I'd cry if my brims were bent. Seriously.)

So what does our usual consists of?
    • Refillable water bottle that we can replenish throughout the day.
    • A couple granola bars and some snack mixes.
    • Camera (photos + video)
    • Diapers (though hopefully not necessary next time!)
    • Sunscreen - travel size. When you're shopping for your trip, keep an eye out for the sunscreen combo packs. We lube up before we head out our door with the big sunscreen, and then we take the travel size one with us to the parks to reapply as necessary.
    • Hats.
    • Smartphones (oh, I'd be so lost without one. Plus, I like my in-park apps quite a bit, such as Lines, Hidden Mickeys and WDW Dining, and I thoroughly enjoy tweeting from the parks and sharing our experience with others.)
    • Battery chargers - for your smartphone and your camera(s).
    • Itinerary.
    • A few activities and/or activity books if we have a table service dining reservation.
    • Room keys / park tickets - I put 'em all in my wallet. Gives me that distinguished dad-with-a-fat-back-pocket kind of look.
    • Sunglasses. I rock the aviators. Buhlieve it.
