Do you need to bring your own pumpkin or bag to trick or treat at MIckey's Not So Scary Halloween?

    Hi Liz,

I love Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and can't wait for this year's party!  There will be Cast Members positioned just inside the Magic Kingdom soon after you pass through the turnstiles handing out Trick-Or-Treat bags.  You are welcome to use one of theirs or bring your own.  Just remember that you will be doing a lot of walking so you don't want bring anything too big or cumbersome.  I like to bring large Ziploc bags to put the candy in once we're done Trick-Or-Treating and put them in a backpack.  That way we avoid candy spills and are able to walk around hand's free.

I just read an interesting article on "The Disney Art of Trick or Treat" and find it incredible that on average they give out almost a half a million pounds of candy during the MNSSHP parties combined - that's about a dozen 18-wheel truckloads of candy.  WOW!

There will be about 13 Trick-or-Treat locations throughout the Magic Kingdom.  These locations will be marked with the "Goofy's Candy Company" icon on a special MNSSHP map which you can also pick up when you enter the park.  There will be a big light-up balloon at each location so they are really easy to see.

If you're looking to score big in one area, head to Mickey's Toontown Fair and visit Mickey's House. Then follow the path to the right of the train station.  Last year they called the area along the path "Alice & Mad Hatter's Treat Party" - clever and cute.  It began in Toontown and ended in Tomorrowland.

Wishing you many spooktacular candy filled memories :-) Allison
