Do I need to bring my dads card from the reservation to Savi’s? He’s going to reserve it on the app, but I will pay at the park with my gift card (he is not going with us to Disneyland). What ID should I bring? Will my school ID work?

    Hi there, Aiden!

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. It sounds like your dad is giving you a special birthday gift this year. Building a lightsaber at Savi's Workshop is the ultimate birthday experience! Gathers will bring you into a secret workshop filled with the parts and components needed to create your own lightsaber. It is so cool!

While a credit card is needed to reserve your spot at Savi's Workshop, Guests can pay with a Disney Gift Card when they arrive for their experience. As long as you have sufficient funds on the Disney Gift Card to pay the full amount (plus tax), a separate credit card is not needed in my experience. A school ID has been sufficient in the past if a Gather asks for it. You will then be directed to choose from one of the available hilt themes, such as Peace and Justice or Protection and Defense.

After building your lightsaber, stop by Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for an Endorian Fried Chicken Tip-Yip, made with Crispy Chicken, Roasted Pepper Mash, Country Gravy, and Charred Broccolini. It is delicious! I also love the Ronto Wraps at Ronto Roasters!

The Holidays at Disneyland Resort will most likely take place during your visit! I hope some of my favorite experiences return this year, like Haunted Mansion Holiday, World of Color - Season of Light, and Mater's Jingle Jamboree. It is the most festive time of year!

Aiden, I hope you have an intergalactic birthday celebration!

May the Force be with you!
