Do I need to bother with the virtual queue for TRON and Tiana? Or can I just get a single pass?

Hey Howdy Hey Darlene and welcome to planDisney!

In just a few short days, you will be on your way to the Most Magical Place on Earth for your Enchanting vacation! I bet you are super excited for your trip and it sounds like the planning for attractions is heating up! Thank you for your question about Virtual Queus in Magic Kingdom. Let's go over a few things so you can better prepare for your trip.

Disney recently announced that TRON Lightcycle / Run will no longer be using the Virtual Queue starting in early September. Good or bad, you will not have the option to get a Virtual Queue for TRON at this time. You are correct that Tiana's Bayou Adventure still utilizes the Virtual Queue option and will be available during your vacation.

Deciding between the Virtual Queue and a Lightning Lane Single Pass is totally up to you. Some may like the thrill of waking up at 7:00 AM to get in the Virtual Queue for an attraction while others may not want the stress that early in the morning. You will always have another chance to enter the queue at 1:00 PM, as long as you are in the park, but this again is a chance at riding and less of a guarantee depending on the efficiency of boarding Guests throughout the day, the weather and other considerations.

If you are staying onsite at a Disney Resort Hotel, you should currently be in the window to make Lightning Lane purchases and selections. This purchase would be a more firm confirmation that you will be able to experience this attraction at a certain time on your vacation. The decision is yours, but if Tiana's is a huge "must-do" and you are only in Magic Kingdom for 1 day, it might be better to bite the bullet and make the Lightning Lane purchase. This will also go for Tron as well, if you are not willing to wake up early to get in line or willing to wait in the standby line in general, you may want to consider the Lightning Lane Single Pass purchase.

I hope this information was helpful to give you some considerations for experiencing these 2 attractions in Magic Kingdom. If you have any other questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!
