I need to book a villa for 10 guests. One being a 2 year old who sleeps with his parents. Can I book a deluxe villa for all 10 of us if it says it sleeps 9?

    Hi Jennifer,

It's so nice to see you dropping by planDisney as you plan an upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World® Resort!

It sounds like you are the planning leader for your crew. I have planned for a larger group in the past. I chatted with a cast member and a few other panelists about your question. Some of the villas do indicate that they can sleep nine adults. The cast member I chatted with said that it may be possible to add that infant/toddler. I suggest that you contact a cast member in Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. They can look at the specific Disney Resorts Collection hotel you prefer and help you make that reservation.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and Disney's Old Key West resort hotels, for example, have 2 Bedroom Villas that sleep up to nine adults. They also have 3 Bedroom Grand Villas that sleep up to 12 adults. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has Treehouse Villas and 2 Bedroom Villas that sleep up to nine adults and a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa that sleeps up to 12 adults.

I am excited that you are considering a villa! On our first trip with our girls, we stayed in a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and it was lovely. My parents who traveled with us, had their own bedroom and bathroom. We had a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. The villa was so spacious. The resort grounds were just gorgeous and we loved dining at the Turf Club Bar and Grill.

As you continue to plan, I am sending a gentle reminder about the importance of advanced dining reservations, especially with a party of 10. You may need to make reservations for two parties of five but try to make some reservations. Even during the day, we find that having a lunch reservation gives us all a chance to take a rest. Or, since you will have a 2-year old, you may all head back to the resort for an afternoon nap. On that first trip with our girls, we took a break every afternoon. We then went back out to the parks every evening.

Jennifer, with a larger group, do not be afraid to split up during the day. There may be times when some folks want to take a rest while others want to do one more attraction. It is ok! I use dinner reservations so that we can all get back together and talk about the fun we had each day.

    Happy planning!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
