SPLASH-tacular plans for this summer, so let's dive right into the details about
Disney's free water park benefit!
Guests staying at a
hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection and arriving between May 26 and September 8, 2026, can take advantage of free admission to a water park on their check-in day - an amazing benefit! This perk is available regardless of whether or not you book a vacation package that includes tickets. To ensure that everyone in your party has access to the water park on your check-in day, they must all be properly linked to the resort reservation. You'll then see your free water park tickets appear under "My Tickets" in your
My Disney Experience mobile app on your check-in date and can use either your
MagicBand+ or
Disney's MagicMobile Service to enter the water park when you arrive.
We have also recently heard that both
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park are scheduled to open throughout the summer, which means you'll have a choice of which water park to visit. My son and I had the chance to explore both last year, and while he preferred Blizzard Beach (
Ski Patrol Training Camp and
Slush Gusher were two of his favorite attractions), I preferred the tropical vibes of Typhoon Lagoon. No matter which you choose to visit, you'll find so much to experience and enjoy!
Don't forget that another
great benefit of staying at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection includes an earlier purchase window for your
Lightning Lane passes. While Lightning Lane entry is not available at the water parks, my family typically uses a combination of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass when visiting the four theme parks. If you choose to purchase Lightning Lane passes for your day at
Magic Kingdom Park, you'll be able to make those selections seven days before your check-in date as a resort Guest!
