Hi Susan,
If you are purchasing Disney's Plus (Basic) Dining Plan, which includes 1 Table Service, 1 Counter Service and 1 Snack per person/per night of your package then you will only need to make one Table Service reservation per day. The Quick Service restaurants don't require (or accept) reservations. Our family always purchases the Basic Plan. It provides us with plenty of food. While we thoroughly enjoy the chance to sit down and relax, re-capping the memories together once-a-day...we wouldn't want to commit that much time to eating 3 table service meals a day. There's so much to be seeing and enjoying in the Parks, the the quick service restaurants are delicious too.
Due to the popularity of Disney's amazing restaurants, you
will need to make reservations for any sit-down (Table Service) meals you plan to have. If your family has chosen the Deluxe Plan, and you are going to be eating 3 meals a day, then you'll need to spend some time really looking over the different restaurant options
HERE and choosing the ones that appeal most to you.
Keep in mind that if you don't have Park Hopper passes, you'll need to make reservations either
in the Park you'll be visiting for the day or in a Resort. In other words, if you have Base tickets and are in Magic Kingdom for the day, you won't be able to eat dinner in Epcot that evening. So plan carefully if you have Base tickets.
I'd be happy to help you with any other questions you have.
Hope this helps, and have a Magical vacation!
Kaylene
