Hey there Jael and welcome to planDisney!
Booking
Advanced Dining Reservations is one of my favorite parts of planning my Walt Disney World Resort vacation. My next trip has panned out to be a foodie's dream tour of The Most Magical Place on Earth. Planning for a large party can sometimes present a few challenges but with a few of my dining pro-tips, you can rise to the occasion.
1. Break your group down into smaller groups. I figured out when planning for my party of 10 that a lot of restaurants don't take reservations for groups as large as yours all at once. What worked for us was doing 2 separate reservations via 2 different people's
My Disney Experience accounts for the same or very close time slots.
2. Try to schedule meals against the crowd. Never plan for an 8 AM breakfast or a noon lunch reservation. Instead, I choose times a little earlier or a little later to avoid the rush of people wanting to eat at the same time.
You can make Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days prior to your arrival date. Your window actually opened a few days ago. Your
My Disney Experience app is pretty handy for making reservations. Just open it and tap the plus sign icon at the bottom center of the screen. Check Dining Availability will be the first choice that pops up. Enter a party size, the date you'll want to eat, and the time you want. A list of available restaurants and time slots will appear for you to choose from. If you already know a specific restaurant that you're looking for, tap the search icon and enter its name. When its page appears, tap Reserve Dining and follow the same steps listed above to find find a date and time that works for you.
Pro-tip: If the meal you want is all booked up, don't fret. Keep checking the app. People cancel all the time for one reason or another. Especially the day before to try to avoid paying a last-minute cancellation fee.
Jael, I hope I've given you the tools you'll need to get started today. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat. We'd love to help!
Happy planning!
