Hiya Steve!
Thank you so much for sending us your question, and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet. Oh my goodness, Steve, can you believe that in one short week, you will be soaking in the magic at the Walt Disney World Resort? You must be so excited - I know I would be! And with your whole family coming, this trip is sure to be one that you will never forget.
Now, let's make some park reservations! The first thing you need to do when making your park reservations is
link your theme park tickets to your
My Disney Experience account. To do so, find your email confirmation from when you purchased your theme park tickets and copy the barcode number. Then, log into your My Disney Experience account and click on "My Plans." Scroll down the page until you see a blue bar that says "Add More Plans." After clicking on it, a drop-down menu should appear, in which you will click on "
Link Reservations and Purchases." You will be prompted to select "Tickets" and enter the confirmation number we mentioned earlier. Next, click on "
Theme Park Reservations" under the "Theme Parks and Tickets" tab and then on "Make a Park Reservation." Before making any reservations, however, I would recommend checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to avoid any surprises. If you need further assistance with these steps, don't hesitate to
reach out to a Cast Member via chat, email or phone. They truly are real-life magic makers and will be happy to help and sprinkle some pixie dust for you!
Now, let's suppose you cannot get theme park reservations for part of your vacation. Do not worry, as you can do a few things to enjoy the magic with your family! First, one of my favourite activities is visiting
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and watching the animals. Indeed, the Harambe Wildlife Reserve extends all the way to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and you can sit on various balconies and watch giraffes, zebras, springboks, and wildebeests go by. Second, there are a few places where you can enjoy the
Disney Enchantment fireworks without actually being in the park. Personally, I love watching the fireworks from
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or the beach at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Either way, you will still be able to enjoy Disney Enchantment and its official soundtrack in a much less crowded space.
I hope this was helpful, Steve, and that you and your family will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, don't hesitate to reach out. You and me, we're in a club now!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
