Hello: I need to ask because my points are in the holder, I want to book and I can't. thanks

    Hi Silvia,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!

If I understand your question correctly, you currently have some Vacation Points in your Holding Account, likely from a Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation that was modified or cancelled, and you’re wondering how to use those points to make a new Resort reservation.

Any Vacation Points that are in your Holding Account will be good until the end of your Use Year, following which they will be cancelled. While you can largely use them the same way you would any “regular” points, you can’t bank or borrow them AND you can only use them to make reservations within 60 days of your Check-In date. You probably couldn’t use them to book the reservation you’d like because it was too far away or because it wasn’t in your Use Year, but it’s hard for me to know for sure without having more details.

My advice: please contact Member Services to find out what your options are. I’ve found the Cast Members to be incredibly helpful and I’m sure that they’ll be able to provide you with a concrete answer and a list of what your options are for using these points for an upcoming Disney Parks vacation.

If I misunderstood your question or if you need any other help, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
