Hi I need to apply for a DAS. Last time I came I went straight to guest services but I am aware it has changed. Can I pre apply before getting to Disney like I can for universal ? Thanks, Mark

Hi there, Mark! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for reaching out to us with your question!

As Walt Disney once said, "To all who come to this happy place, welcome!". Walt Disney World Resort goes the distance to accommodate guests with different needs. As you are aware, Walt Disney World has updated its Disability Access Services (or DAS) policies. They are doing their best to ensure that Guests who need shorter wait times can use this service.

Guests living in the United States can begin the DAS application process by video chatting with a Cast Member 30 days in advance of their arrival. Guests arriving from the United Kingdom can begin applying once they arrive stateside. Once you have access to the US Walt Disney World website, begin your application!

Did you know you can also use Disney Genie+ simultaneously with DAS? What I love about Genie+ is the access to Lightning Lane queues, which are similar to what the Fast Pass line used to be. Shorter wait times mean more fun in the parks! You can also purchase Individual Lightning Lane queues for attractions like TRON Lightcycle/Run to use in conjunction with DAS too. Guests can begin purchasing Disney Genie+ at 7:00 AM, and if you are a Disney Resort hotel guest, you can begin purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes at 7:00 AM too.

Mark, I hope all of this information was helpful today! I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday at Walt Disney World! Please visit us again if you need additional help planning your vacation. You've got a friend in me!

    Magic Awaits!
