Ahoy there, Joanna! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sailing my way with your question! Consider me extra jealous that you're leaving for a Disney Cruise Line vacation so soon!
And the good news doesn't end there: you will NOT have to apply for a Bahamas Health Visa as part of your vacation!
You're correct at one point this was a requirement, but since August 2021, all travelers entering The Bahamas on cruises that originate in the U.S. will be subject to testing requirements mandated by Disney Cruise Line and approved by the government of The Bahamas. That means as long as you have completed your
Online Check-In - including the Safe Passage requirements - that you've satisfied the Bahamian government's regulations that all visitors be screened to ensure the health and safety of citizens!
Remember that ALL guests are tested at the port when arriving, so be sure to double-check your Port Arrival Time, and definitely TRIPLE-check that you have your original proof of vaccination with you in case you're asked to show when exiting the port area in Nassau! I always travel with my
travel documents in a folder or special section of my carry-on luggage for embarkation day, and you can bet I've added these proof of vaccination cards to my checklist!
I'd also suggest checking the latest
Guide to Updated Experiences information as you finish packing for the latest word on everything you can expect on your cruise! As of this writing, the last update was just a few weeks ago on May 17!
I hope that helps take one thing off what my family calls our "worry list" before you embark on your adventure, Joanna! Now you can sit back, relax, finish packing, and get ready to enjoy everything that's included on your Disney Cruise Line vacation! Thank you for your question, and if any more bubble up, please drop me a line!
We'll SEA ya' real soon!
Andrew
