Ahoy there, Sara! Welcome to planDisney! It's always good to see a fellow Missourian sail my way with a question! Consider me extra jealous that you're leaving the seemingly endless winter we're having here in the Midwest for a Disney Cruise Line vacation - and in just a few days!
And the good news doesn't end there, Sara: you will NOT have to apply of a Bahamas Health Visa as part of your vacation!
You're correct at one point this was a requirement, but since August 2021 all travelers entering The Bahamas on cruises that originate in the U.S. will be subject to testing requirements mandated by Disney Cruise Line and approved by the government of The Bahamas. That means as long as you have completed your
Online Check-In - including the Safe Passage portion where you'll be confirming all eligible guests in your party are fully vaccinated - you'll be all set!
Remember that ALL guests are tested at the port when arriving, so be sure to double-check your Port Arrival Time, and definitely TRIPLE-check that you have your original proof of vaccination with you in case you're asked to show when exiting the port area in Nassau! I'd suggest keeping it with your other travel documents in a folder or special section of your carry-on luggage for embarkation day!
I'd also suggest checking the latest
Guide to Updated Experiences information as you finish packing for the latest word on everything you can expect on your cruise! As of this writing, the last update was just a few days ago on March 4th!
I hope that helps you check one more thing off your list as you prepare to embark on your adventure, Sara! Now you can sit back, relax, finish packing, and get ready to enjoy
everything that's included on your Disney Cruise Line vacation! Thank you for your question, and if any more bubble up in these short few days before your cruise, please drop me a line!
We'll SEA ya' real soon!
Andrew
