I need some advice. Our 1st trip to Disney. I have 2 girls (5&6 years). We'll only be in Disney from Oct. 19 to the 23rd. I believe Fantasmic and MNSSHP are on the same night. Which do I choose (if there's still tickets available)? Thanks.

Although other panel members might disagree I strongly would head to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for the night.  This event is so much fun and I would encourage you all to find a comfortable costume and dress up for the party.  Our family tries to find something where we are all coordinating in some way.

Throughout the park you will find great trick or treat stations and they will hand you a nice bag when you enter for the candy so no need to bring one of your own. Most of the attractions will be open and the lines are generally much smaller then during the regular park hours.  There are several dance parties going on and all this will be highlighted in the party handout you are given at the start.  Whatever you do don't miss the parade which starts with the Headless Horseman trotting down the streets with his pumpkin in hand! My favorite part of the parade is the Haunted Mansion float which is very well done.  The grave digger and his dog walk along beside and the dog is actually a working member of a local law enforcement agency on loan to Disney for the parades. He is adorable!

The fireworks show is specific to this party with lots of goblins and ghosts moving around the castle to music.  It is fun and worth the extra money to attend for the special party during the Halloween season!
