Hi Rebecca!
My son has multiple food allergies, so I know how hard it can be to plan meals for vacation. Our experience has been that the Chefs and Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort have always gone above and beyond to make sure our little one has safe and tasty meals. In fact, they have an entire team dedicated to making sure that
Guests with special dietary requirements can eat safely. Since your son has multiple allergies, I recommend that you contact the Special Diets Team directly by emailing them at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. They can give you specific information about the restaurants that would be the best at accommodating your son.
In my experience, table service restaurants have larger kitchens and can accommodate food allergies more easily. Be sure to list your allergies on your dining reservations and openly communicate your son's allergies with the Chef. While the Special Diets Team will have specific recommendations for you, two of our best experiences have been at:
- Chef Mickey's - While just outside of Magic Kingdom, our Chef asked my son what he would like to eat for dinner, without regard to the normal menu items that night, and brought him huge portions of safe food, cooked specifically for my him.
- Kona Cafe: Breakfast can always be challenging with food allergies, specifically egg allergies, but when we dined at Kona Cafe for breakfast, which is in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Chef had plenty of allergy-friendly options for my son that he loved!
Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
