Hi. I need some advice on places to go and/or how to go about booking experiences for our trip to WDW. We have booked our first ever trip for our 25 th anniversary which is also my wife’s 50th birthday and as I am a total novice/bloke. Thanks

    Hello there, Amanda!

A warm welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us a phenomenal Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm so excited to hear that you and your wife will be celebrating a couple of very special milestones at The Most Magical Place on Earth so soon! I'm honored to help you prepare for an unforgettable holiday.

Amanda, with a milestone birthday and wedding anniversary to celebrate, I think you have to go big on your upcoming vacation! This is the perfect excuse to splurge on a swanky dining experience that folks usually reserve for special occasions. Guests can make dining reservations up to 60 days before their scheduled arrival, so you're well within your booking window now! For a totally classy affair, consider dining at Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Walt Disney World Resort's only restaurant that currently boats a MICHELIN Star. Alternatively, I'd recommend the following fine dining experiences: California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Cítricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. Reservations can be made on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in the My Disney Experience mobile app.

A birthday or anniversary is the perfect opportunity to book an Enchanted Extras Collection offering, as well. Guests visiting from the U.K. are currently unable to book these experiences on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Therefore, I encourage you to reach out to a trusted travel advisor based in the U.S. or Canada who has experience in booking Disney Destinations. They should be able to help book these experiences on your behalf! I think a specialty fireworks cruise or a dessert party would be a particularly lovely way to celebrate.

Amanda, I hope you've found these recommendations helpful and I wish you and your wife an incredibly romantic escape to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any additional questions throughout the planning process, you're always welcome to revisit us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
