I need some advice; my parents, hubby, 6-yr old daughter and not quite 3-yr old son are staying at OKW over Columbus Day. This is our 3rd trip but 1st in the fall. I'm having trouble coming up with a schedule to maximize time and attend MNSSHP. Tips?

    Howdy Jennifer!!

How long will you be there?  Will there be any evenings your parents might watch your kiddos while you enjoy the theme parks (and vice versa)?

This is a great time of year to visit...our 6 year old daughter LOVES Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Dates for the party are not yet posted and neither are the dates for extra magical hours.  However, we typically try to follow a few basic "rules" that have worked for us in the past.  We visit a theme park the morning after the park had an evening extra magic hour.

If we will be enjoying a party at Magic Kingdom, we ensure we are back in our resort that afternoon for naps and/or rest time.  As you know, those parties can run late.  We have some great pictures with our kids that were taken at midnight while attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  They were all smiles and were having a great time despite the late hour.

I'm sure you have some thoughts regarding your must do attractions.  You might try to get those knocked out early during your vacation and then consider everything else a bonus.

If your son needs a break, there are a variety of locations where you can enjoy an attraction while he naps.  To name a few:  Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom, Impressions de France in Epcot, Walt Disney: One Man's Dream at Disney's Hollywood Studios and you can find a bench with shade at any number of locations at Animal Kingdom.

As more information becomes available regarding Party dates, please let me know your exact travel dates and what, if any, table-service meals you are planning.  I would love to help you create a potential itinerary that you can tweak to best fit your travel plans.

Thanks so much for your question and have a magical day!!
