Need advice on hotels for our son's birthday(5y). We are Florida residents and have been several times but this time we want to stay at a little nicer hotel (normally stay at a value) but don't want to break the bank :-) We will have a 5 month old too.

    Hi Susan!

Happy Birthday to your big boy!  I think that if you are ready to upgrade to a Moderate Resort, Port Orleans French Quarter is your best bet.  It is the smallest resort on property, which means that even the most remote room is just a  leisurely stroll to the lobby and food court areas.  The pool is great AND you have the added bonus of sharing pool privileges with Port Orleans Riverside as well.  Downtown Disney is just a quaint boat ride away and I think that the birthday boy would LOVE dining at the T-Rex cafe, which is located here!  Oh, did I mention that all of the rooms have recently been upgraded to include Queen sized beds and flat screen TV's.  Woo Hoo!

Of course, there are tons of other recreation options here as well.  From a Pirate Cruise to catch and release fishing, you will never be bored!  Due to the small size of the resort, it is actually very quiet and just perfect for a family with kids your age.  Have a fabulous vacation!

    Much pixie dust,
