Hi there, Karina! Welcome to planDisney. It’s always a joy to see the wonder of Disneyland through the eyes of a little Mouseketeer! While my toddler isn’t so little anymore, it’s always a sweet reminder to think of how far we’ve come since his very first park visit at 1 year old. I’d love to share my tips and tricks for visiting the parks with littles!
When you go to purchase
tickets for your party, you’ll be pleased to know that your 1 year old will not need a ticket. Only Guests ages 3 and older need tickets to enter the parks. With that being said, your 1 year old won’t need a reservation for park entry. However, if you are dining at a
table service restaurant anywhere on property, go ahead and add them to your reservation. This will help Cast Members accommodate space for a high chair and such.
When visiting the parks with a 1 year old, I still find myself often going back to
ToonTown. There’s something so whimsical about this area that is perfect for little ones to run around and play in. While my toddler is usually convincing my husband to ride the
rainbow rolling slides until his back hurts, when he was younger we would spend time in the Little Goofs play area, a padded play area right behind Donald’s Duck Pond! It was perfect because the gates allow for crawling and early walking without the commotion of older kids at play.
Karina, thank you so much for visiting planDisney! Planning a Disney trip with littles is no easy feat. I know with this information, you’re going to make so many beautiful memories with your loved ones. If any more questions come up along the way, planDisney is always here to help!
