Hey there, Lucia. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney to chit-chat about one of my favorite things - Disney dining!
Sometimes plans and traveling parties change and fortunately, Walt Disney World knows this. That's why they've made it so easy to modify plans like dining reservations. However, adding another person to a dining reservation is based on restaurant availability so it is not always a guaranteed thing. The easiest way to do this, in my opinion, is to go ahead and call and have a Cast Member help you out. Phone lines open up around 7:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time each day and you can reach a Cast Member by calling 407-WDW-DINE. To make things easier, it's best to have your dining confirmation number handy when calling. I like using this method best when modifying an existing reservation because if the restaurant isn't able to accommodate you all at that time, they have the ability to look in the system and see if there is a different time that works out for all of you. The other option is to try to do this yourself online. What you'll need to do is log in to your
MyDisneyExperience account. Then, you'll scroll down until you see the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. You'll want to find the dining reservation that you'd like to modify and select "Change Reservation" From there, you'll be able to update your party size and see if there is any availability.
If you aren't able to modify the reservation you could always try for a different restaurant. There are so many great ones to choose from, I'm sure you'll be able to find something to fit all of you. Also, take a look at the lounges that some of the most popular Walt Disney World restaurants offer. It's a great way to have an amazing dining experience without needing a reservation as the lounges operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Some of my favorite lounges are
Crew's Cup Lounge at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, The lounge at
California Grill,
Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. You'll be able to find some really yummy dishes at these locations and children are always welcome if you have some in your traveling party!
I hope this helps, Lucia. If you have any other questions as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Enjoy!
