Do I need to activate my tickets at Guest relations in order to get into the park? Or is that just a thing for military?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Melissa.

Melissa, only certain ticket types require activation before usage. Those tickets include annual passes, military tickets and Florida resident tickets. If you don't have one of those ticket types for your upcoming vacation, you are all set and won't need to swing by Guest relations before entering a Walt Disney World Theme Park.

On top of your valid theme park admission, Melissa, I did want to mention that you will also need park pass reservations to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks during your trip. Park pass reservations are basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. Once you have your theme park tickets linked to your MyDisneyExperience account, you can head over to the park pass reservation website to begin that process.

I see that you have a trip planned to the Most Magical Place on Earth in February. You are going to have so much fun. February is one of my favorite times of the year to visit. The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be in full swing. I hope you'll plan some time in your itinerary to enjoy this lively and colorful festival. It's such a great addition to EPCOT. It's actually become one of my family's favorite festivals that are offered throughout the year. My daughter is an artist so it's fun to watch EPCOT come alive with creativity and magic!

I hope this helps, Melissa. If you have any other questions as you plan your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'd love to help. Have fun and enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
