When do I need to activate my tickets?

Greetings, Erik, and a warm welcome from planDisney! It sounds like you're about to embark on an adventure to the Disneyland Resort—my absolute favorite place on Earth! You've definitely come to the right place for a little guidance.

I have fantastically good news for you: No activation is needed! Once purchased, your tickets are ready to unlock the wonders of Disneyland. However, there's one very important step to ensure your entry into the magic—making park reservations!

Think of park reservations as your personal RSVP to the happiest party on Earth. There are a couple of easy ways to secure your spot. First, you can hop onto your computer and visit the park reservations page on the Disneyland website. Make sure you're logged into your Disney account and click the "Make or Modify Park Reservations" button. Select the tickets you'd like to use, and then choose your desired date(s) from the calendar. Standard park ticket reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance—plenty of time to dream! If you're a lucky Southern California Resident Ticket holder, you can book your magical visits through May 15, 2025.

You can also make park reservations using the Disneyland mobile app! Just open the app, tap the plus (+) sign at the bottom, and select "Make a Park Reservation". Since your tickets are already waiting for you, tap the "Make or Modify Park Reservations" button. From there, you'll follow the same steps as on the website—so easy!

If you have a 1-park per day ticket, you'll get to choose which kingdom you'd like to explore for the day: Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. But if you've opted for the Park Hopper ticket—oh boy, are you in for a treat! You'll choose where your day begins, and then, starting at 11 AM, you can zip between both parks! I just love the Park Hopper option!

If you're still deciding when to visit, Erik, let me tempt you with some upcoming celebrations that are sure to add extra sparkle to your trip. First, there's the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival from February 28 through April 21, 2025—indulge your taste buds with the flavors of California! Then, we have Season of the Force—and the return of Hyperspace Mountain—from March 28 to May 11, 2025. And last, but certainly not least, the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration kicks off on May 16, 2025! This spectacular event, seven decades in the making, will feature dazzling entertainment, including the return of the beloved Paint the Night Parade and the debut of Walt Disney – A Magical Life. The theme of the event is "Celebrate Happy", and just saying that makes me want to do a little happy dance!

No matter when you choose to visit, Erik, I know you're going to have an absolutely unforgettable time at the Disneyland Resort. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask! We at planDisney are here to help make your Disney dreams come true! Wishing you a magical day!
