Hi Laura,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Visiting Walt Disney World with a big group is so much fun. I'd say you have more than a few wonderful choices for accommodating a group of 6 to 8 adults.
My best suggestion is to explore
2-bedroom Deluxe Villas. If you start with your arrival date and length of stay, you'll get to see your options that have availability. While size and layout will vary from resort to resort, these villas offer a master bedroom, a second bedroom, a spacious living room with sleeper sofas (some with a sleeper chair as well), a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer. For example, Disney's Old Key West Resort offers a more spacious 2-bedroom villa at 1,333 square feet that accommodates 9 Guests, while a 2-bedroom villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is 1,075 square feet and can sleep 8. So a key factor is to find the layout that best fits your group.
A second key factor will be location. Do you prefer to be close to a theme park? Options such as Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort are Magic Kingdom area resorts on the Monorail. Disney's BoardWalk Villas and Disney's Beach Club Villas are Epcot area resorts.
You also have some amazing choices that I think are truly special for big groups. The Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa give you a tranquil vibe near all the shopping, dining, and entertainment of Disney Springs. The waterfront Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are simply as stunning as they are cozy.
Laura, once you check out the villa options, you can call the Walt Disney Travel Company at (407) 939-5277 for additional help and recommendations.
Enjoy your Disney!
