Is it necessary to make reservations for character dining or do they take walk-ins?

    Hi Jen!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I understand the difficulty in creating an itinerary and setting "reservations" when you're planning a vacation. I think many of us wish we could come and go as we please without having to nail down so many details in advance. The reality is Character Dining Experiences are among the most popular meals at Walt Disney World and Advanced Dining Reservations are strongly recommended.

You'll want to book them as early as 180-days in advance, either online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE, 407-939-3463. Many handy "calculators" exist online to help you determine your 180-day window. Simply google, "180-day Disney calculator" and you'll be on your way to planning all the details.

Wishing you a pixie dusted vacation, Jen, and please write us back with any other questions.
