Is it necessary to go to the meet and greets at Ariel's Grotto, Judge's Tent, fairies, etc. to get autographs and take pics with these characters or will we be able to find them to do this around the park?

    Hi Kristen,

To some guests, meeting characters is the most exciting reason to visit Walt Disney World - they would follow their favorite character anywhere.  For others (often small children), the idea of running into a larger than life character is terrifying!

Characters can be found in specific locations throughout the parks.  Ariel can only be found as mermaid in Ariel's Grotto; however, she has been spotted in her ball gown at Akershus in Epcot's Norway Pavilion.

Each of the 4 main parks have a Times Guide that includes parades, shows and character greeting times & locations.  If you are looking for a specific character, ask a cast member.  They have a phone number to call to help you find the character you want to see.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
