Is it necessary to make dining resv for Aulani? We did do one bfast character dining. We don't want a lot of time constrictions but don't want to miss out on something we should do. It's just my husband and I going.

    Hi Michele,

Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  A trip with your husband to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, sounds fabulous.  Time together in a tropical paradise will be so much fun.

I certainly understand wanting to relax and enjoy your time in an unstructured manner; however, I do think that it is a good idea to make a reservation if you want to go to the Disney Character Breakfast at Makahiki.  I spoke with some of my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists, who let me know that they have experienced this meal, and that the restaurant is often quite full.  There does seem to be availability for walk up reservations on some days; however, this is not a guarantee.  So I think better safe than sorry, and I recommend that you make a reservation.  To do so, you can call the Aulani Dining Line at 808-674-6330, or you can visit the Aulani Dining Reservations website

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Michele.  I would like to thank my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists Andrea, Erin, Beth C., Dolly, and Kari for their thoughts on this question.  Have a great time planning your tropical vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
