Is it neccessary to make reservations at the casual dining places. We want to come and go as we want and not be on a schedule. Can you recommend any places that we could possibly eat lunch & dinner @ without making reservations??? Thanks!!!

    Hi Jennifer,

It is highly recommended that you make reservations in advance for table service restaurants at Walt Disney World.  You can always call (407) WDW-DINE and cancel your reservations as your vacation approaches if you decide not to dine where you have booked a table.  Many table service restaurants at Walt Disney World accept "walk-ups," but you're likely to be disappointed if you want to eat at one of the more popular restaurants without an advance reservation.

Have you considered Disney's Quick Service Dining Plan?  With this plan you eat at restaurants that do not require reservations.  This might be the plan for you if you don't wish to tied to a strict dining schedule.  Disney has great counter service restaurants throughout property.  For instance, you could try Min & Bill's Dockside Diner at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  We love the Columbia Harbour House in the Magic Kingdom.  Flame Tree BBQ is our favorite in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Sommerfest is our quick service restaurant of choice in Epcot.  There are dozens of quick service restaurants from which you can choose.

Best wishes as you decide on your best options for dining at Walt Disney World!
