Hello Jennifer and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's always an added pleasure for me to assist a fellow Guest from the United Kingdom with their jolly holiday plans to visit the magic of Walt Disney World Resort.
As the Mum of a child with chronic asthma I can absolutely relate to your question about seeking medical care whist enjoying a holiday abroad. We all like to believe that we're invincible, but sometimes our health just won't let us continue without seeking medical assistance.
I'd like to try and reassure you that in my own families experience of requiring medical help or
First Aid when staying at Walt Disney World Resort that we were wonderfully cared for and attended to by both Cast Members and offsite medical staff at Florida Hospital Centra Care Walk-In Urgent Care.
For medical assistance from the comfort of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room simply dial
Front Desk from your in-room phone and ask to be connected
or go directly to Florida Hospital Centra Care Urgent Care which is located just a short distance away in Lake Buena Vista - current surgery opening hours and information regarding complimentary transportation can be found via this
link.
The cost of Medical care in the United States is a whole different world away from our British National Health Service, so my top tip for all travellers is to be sure to purchase adequate travel and medical insurance before leaving home.
I also thought you may find these
Services for Guests with Disabilities to perhaps be a useful planning resource.
Have a great Disney day.
