    what is the nearest hotel that I can book that its closest to the port ?

    Hello Laura!

    Thanks for sailing by.  How exciting that you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation planned!  As a Floridian, I almost always head to Port Canaveral at least a day early to allow my family and I some time to explore the beach, Kennedy Space Center and the surrounding area.  You will find many wonderful, family-friendly hotels from a variety of major chains less than five miles from the port.  Many of these offer kitchenettes, suites and are perfect for families.  If you do a quick search for hotels in or near Port Canaveral or Cocoa Beach, you will find many wonderful options.  Another fantastic option that you might want to consider, is spending the evening before your cruise at the Walt Disney World Resort.  It is approximately a one-hour drive to Port Canaveral and is something my boys and I have done a number of times to help us build the "Disney excitement" before our magical voyage.
