    what is the nearest airport

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Charlotte!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Get ready to take off because this is one of the easiest travel questions you will ever ask! If you’re dreaming about stepping off a plane and heading straight for Cinderella Castle, I have some GREAT news for you! Orlando makes travel super convenient, so it's time to buckle up because your journey to the "Most Magical Place on Earth" officially begins the moment you land!

The closest airport to Disney World is Orlando International Airport (MCO), and it’s absolutely the go-to choice for most travelers. It’s only about 20–25 minutes from the Disney property, which means you can go from runway to churros pretty quickly! Once you land, you’ve got several great options to get to your Disney resort. You can book a Mears Connect shuttle (the closest thing to the old Magical Express), hop in a rideshare like Uber or Lyft, schedule a private car service, or even rent a car if you want total freedom on your trip. No matter which route you choose, Orlando International Airport makes it easy, smooth, and downright TIGGER-ific to start your vacation the moment you grab your luggage!

As you continue to plan, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information on all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some incredible surprises planned for 2026, and we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
