How can I navigate Genie+ with our group of 15. I know the system can be used for a maximum party of 12? Is it possible to keep our group together during our time in the parks? If so how would I do that?

Hi Stefanie! Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by with your question!

Oh boy! Your Walt Disney World vacation is fast approaching. Less than a month away until you arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I'm sure the excitement level is at an all-time high. Traveling with a group of 15 Guests sounds like it can be a daunting task, but with the proper planning, I'm sure it will be a breeze for your family!

You are correct! Disney Genie+ allows you to make a reservation for up to 12 Guests at a time. The best strategy to use here is to appoint two people in your party as the leaders of the group. These two individuals will be responsible for making the Genie+ and Lightning Lane reservations for everyone in the party. They will need to work together to try and get similar times. The very first step is to make sure everyone is connected to the My Disney Experience App by using the Family and Friends feature on the app. You can set this up before your visit and have it ready to go for day one.

Each park day that you are utilizing Genie+, the two leaders need to get together before 7 AM to strategize what attraction they want to reserve first. They should split up the group, so one team has eight Guests and the other has the remaining seven. At 7 AM, each leader will log on to the app and tap on the three horizontal bars on the bottom right corner of the screen. Select "Tip Board", followed by the park you are visiting on this day. Scroll down to the attraction you are going for and compare that the arrival windows are for similar times. If so, select "Book Experience" and then tap on each Guest's name that the leader is responsible for. Once the first attraction is booked, the leaders will need to work together for the remainder of the day to continue comparing booking times. I recommend choosing two individuals that are up for the task and willing to work together with the other to navigate the day.

This strategy might even work in your favor at times if the group wants to split up to experience different attractions. There may be a part of the day when some of the Guests want to take a ride on Space Mountain, while others would rather take a boat ride on "it's a small world". Disney Genie+ is set up in a way that allows you to do just this.

Stefanie, I hope this information helps you on your upcoming visit! I'm sure you are going to have a magical vacation! Stop back anytime to planDisney with additional planning questions!

    See ya real soon!
