Howdy, Joaquin! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm thrilled to help you learn more about Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, this resort holds a special place in my heart as it is my "home away from home." My family and I love the rustic charm all around this property.
From
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge there is a walking path that leads to its neighboring resort, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort that is approximately
2.5 miles long and will be rich with the sights and sounds of the wild! This is great for both a brisk jog or a leisurely walk. Just don't be surprised if you share your trail with some local deer! If you're short on time, but would like a quiet stroll, walk past the Cascade Cabins, soaking in the ambiance.
If it's immersion you're seeking, I would also check out the free tours that are often offered by experienced Cast Members. My husband I took this tour which highlighted a lot of the design elements, Walt Disney's love of the American railroads and the inspiration for Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Another fun way to explore Disney's Wilderness Lodge is through a Hidden Mickey Hunt. More information for both of these is available at the front desk. Finally, if you're really up for an adventure and everyone in your traveling party is 16 years of age or older, check out the
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure. For an added cost, this tour will take you through
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort along with Disney's Wilderness Lodge on a segway!
Happy planning and Happy trails!
