Buongiorno, Julie! Welcome back to planDisney!
Your cruise is on the horizon, and I’m so excited for you! It also sounds like you’re in for quite the sightseeing adventures, from the sound of these amazing
Port Adventures! One of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line is how guests get to see the world while being immersed in all the Disney magic!
I did some research on this question, including contacting Disney Cruise Line, to inquire about the duration of time and details of the Port Adventure you’re asking about. Since it makes multiple stops in one day, it’s hard to know ahead of time exactly how long you will spend on the Pompeii portion. From experience, I can completely understand how this can be possible, because I know from doing guided tour Port Adventures that it’s difficult to predict the circumstances that might lead us to spend more time in one spot or another. We might be interested in something more, desire extra time in a location, have to wait for the rest of our party, find some extra photo spots, etc.
My suggestion is that if you have more detailed questions about the Port Adventure, stop by the
Port Adventures Desk once on board your cruise. They’re super friendly and really are like the tour guides before you get to the actual tour guides! I know I love chatting with them about all our Port Adventure possibilities! They do a great job of giving me a rundown of what to expect and answering all of my questions.
Another suggestion I have is if you want to spend more time in Pompeii than the other spots on the tour, to book a Port Adventure just to Pompeii. Among a few others, I found
“Pompeii Half Day (NP31)” which is a half day’s tour of the preserved historic ruins of Pompeii. That’s only one example, as there are a
few others, if you want a Port Adventure that spends a longer amount of time in Pompeii.
Julie, I hope I was able to help. I wish you the DREAMiest memories aboard your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Ciao,
Rana
