Ahoy there, Susan! One of the best things about Disney Cruise Line is that there’s something fun for everyone—the
littlest cruisers included! I’ve been sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line with my now tweens since they were babies, so I have firsthand experience with this. Let me assure you, Disney Cruise Line makes it so easy (and actually fun!), and because of this, in my opinion, it’s the perfect family vacation!
Yes, Disney Cruise Line does offer a nursery on every single cruise ship—aptly named
“it’s a small world” nursery! after the adorable ride in the Disney Theme Parks. Babies and toddlers who are 6 months-3 years of age may visit here, and everything is catered to them. They are cared for by a dedicated care staff of expert Disney counselors. Should you feel the need to check on your baby during that time, you could easily pop in to peek through the window or call anytime!
"it's a small world" nursery! reservations are limited and are available for an additional fee. Therefore, Disney Cruise Line recommends you make those reservations as soon as you know you’re going to need them. While at home, you can begin to reserve nursery time when your
booking window opens, under the “My Plans” section of the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Onboard, you can continue to make nursery reservations as long as they are available. I used to make my nursery reservations for when we had
adult-dining booked, during the late evenings of
Pirate Night, so that I could watch the fireworks, or during the hours of an evening show in the
Walt Disney Theater. What’s amazing about Disney Cruise Line is that this service is offered so that we parents can also enjoy our well-earned vacation!
Another toddler activity you can look forward to once onboard is the “Toddler Time” held in
Disney's Oceaneer Club, where you can meet other toddler families in a dedicated play zone just for them. My kids used to love Toddler Time, and it was a fun way to introduce Disney's Oceaneer Club and all the excitement it offers, before they were officially the age to visit alone. You can find the schedule in the Disney Cruise Line Personal Navigator App once onboard. In my experience, they were usually held early in the morning, as we know babies and toddlers like to be up early, vacation included. Another space dedicated just for babies and toddlers is the Splash Zones onboard. Swim play here is designed just for babies and toddlers, and a swim diaper is required. But should you forget to pack swim diapers, or run out, never fear, as you can
purchase these, and many other baby amenities, onboard as well!
Susan, I hope you have a wonderful cruise with your baby and make buckets of memories together! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions, as my pals and I are always happy to help!
Bon Voyage,
Rana
