Hello my name is Shayna and LOVE Disney! So we’re gonna go to ca in March for my grandmothers 93rd birthday. I thought it would be fun for my husband, my dad and myself would possibly be able to book a room and what your cancellation policy is. Thank you.

    Hiya, Shaina!

First and foremost, happy 93rd birthday to your grandmother! What a sweet way to celebrate such a special occasion. After all, what says happy birthday like a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth? My heart is already smiling thinking of the magical memories your family will make together! As Joy from Inside Out would say, "Don't forget to find fun in each and every moment!"

Shaina, the cancellation policy differs based on how you choose to book your stay. Since you haven't done so yet, this information may be helpful in deciding the best way to plan and reserve your resort hotel and tickets for your trip.

If you choose to book a Disneyland Vacation Package, you'll receive a full refund if you cancel 30 days or more from your arrival. If you cancel less than 30 days in advance, there are different fees based on how close the cancellation date is to your arrival date. With this type of package, I'd suggest marking your calendar for 30 days out from your arrival and making a decision then in order to receive the most favorable refund!

If you make a room-only reservation, you can cancel up to five days before your arrival date and receive a full refund. If you cancel within five days of your reservation date, you'll be charged a cancellation fee. This fee is equal to the first night's room rate plus tax.

Theme park tickets purchased separately are non-refundable. In the event that you need to cancel, the best option would be to modify these tickets and select a later date.

Shaina, I hope this information helps guide you to the best way to book your celebratory trip to Disneyland Resort. If you'd like to commemorate this special occasion, there are free "celebration buttons" available. I can picture your grandmother now, showing off her birthday button as you take in all the sights and sounds of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure! These buttons are available at City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street. Cast Members at shopping locations or resort hotels may also be able to provide you with one of these buttons. Be prepared for lots of friendly faces and birthday wishes as you walk through the parks.. and maybe you'll even discover a little extra pixie dust is thrown your grandmother's way!

    Best wishes,

    Ashley
