Hi my name is Rosemarie, I would like to know if there is a place where me and my family can take a PCR test prior to our Disney Wish Crusise. We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge

Ahoy there, Rosemarie! Welcome aboard planDisney with your important question regarding Covid-19 PCR Testing during your stay at Walt Disney World Resort prior to sailing aboard the amazing Disney Wish!

It just so happens that we ran into this same need during our trip in July! My family needed a PCR test for our little sailor and asked the concierge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for the closest locations. While there are currently no testing locations on the property, there are a few locations run by AdventHealth relatively close to Walt Disney World Resort!

    • AdventHealth Centra Care Lake Buena Vista (near Disney Springs), 12500 South Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32836
    • AdventHealth Centra Care Orange Lake (near Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge), 8201 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34747.
That second one was the closest to our resort, so we elected to take a cab/rideshare to that location! I definitely suggest booking an appointment as soon as possible to ensure you can get tested at a time that both works for your schedule AND satisfies the requirements to upload your information and results to the Safe Passage Website! While on the AdventHealth website you will be able to select your time and location and reserve your spot. When I booked this, I was not asked for payment upfront, rather, I paid for the test when I arrived for my testing.

Oh, and one more thing - although it doesn't affect your sailing - as of today, the Know Before You Go information has been updated regarding Covid-19 Vaccination and Testing Requirements, for all cruises departing September 2, 2022, and later - so be sure to check it out before you book that placeholder reservation while aboard, haha!

Before long, you'll be entering the Grand Hall, experiencing the newest ship in the fleet, and...Marvel-ing... at the new rotational dining and quick-service food options, pools, youth activities clubs, and more! It truly is a new era of Disney Cruise Line vacationing, and I'm so excited you and your crew get to feel the magic!

Thank you so much for your question, Rosemarie, and though time is short before you embark, if you ever have any additional questions for this or any other sailing, please drop us another line here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!

    Andrew
