Hello Marcio Antonio!
Welcome back to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with another excellent question.
Walt Disney World food is one of my favorite topics, and I'd be delighted to discuss it with you.
I hope you had an enchanting time at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. The castle is incredibly immersive and beautifully themed. The selection of cheese served here varies, so I can't guarantee what you enjoyed on your visit. Still, two Norwegian cheeses you likely found on your plate are Jarlsberg (a white, mild cheese similar in taste to Swiss) and Gsetost (a brown, smooth, slightly sweet cheese). "Brown cheese" is legendary and a Guest favorite, so it's my best guess for what you remember! If you have a specialty grocery store with an extensive specialty cheese department in your area, you might be fortunate enough to encounter Gsetost at home. A similar variety is Brunost, so if you're cheese hunting in your local shop, see if you can track this one down, too. If not, craving a unique cheese sounds like a perfectly good reason for a return trip to
EPCOT!
I hope this has been helpful, Marcio Antonio. I love the authenticity of the cuisine in EPCOT's Norway pavilion. On each visit, I try to sample something new in
Kringla Bakery Og Kafe (besides my favorite, Norwegian School Bread). Best wishes on your cheese quest, and if there's anything we at planDisney can do to make future vacations even
cheddar, don't hesitate to reach out again.
