Ahoy there, Natasha and welcome aboard here at planDisney!
A very hearty "congratulations" to you and your partner on your upcoming nuptials as well as for your incredibly savvy idea to get planning for your
Disney Cruise Line vacation so far in advance! That's definitely a planDrew-approved approach, and I hope you'll accept my advice as a wedding gift of sorts - so exciting!
Just so you know, you've picked an incredible day on which to embark. Not only is August a great time to sail, but the 5th just so happens to be a very special day for me as well!
But enough about me, back to you and your partner's exciting plans for your honeymoon!
While specific Disney Cruise Line itineraries have only been released through May 2023, we can get a general idea of what options you may have by looking into offerings that have been available as inspiration for what could be on the horizon in 2025!
I LOVE the fact that you would like to spend two weeks celebrating your new lives together on one of the gorgeous Disney Cruise Line ships. My wife and I were fortunate enough to embark on a 14-Night Westbound Panama Canal itinerary a few years ago, and honestly, it feels like we haven't stopped talking about it since. From exciting Ports of Call like Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Cartagena, Colombia, to sailing through the Panama Canal's new locks, plus everything that's included on a Disney Cruise, I definitely understand your desire for a longer itinerary!
I'd suggest heading over to the Disney Cruise Line website and using the
Find a Cruise tool to explore the itineraries that are scheduled this Summer. This will let you see which departure ports have been used during the Summer sailing season, which ships leave from which ports, and how long the itineraries are!
Currently, it looks like the longest itinerary is a 13-Night Eastbound Transatlantic sailing from Miami, Florida to Barcelona, Spain on the Disney Magic. There also looks to be a few 12-Night and 11-Night options that explore everything from the Mediterranean to Northern Europe! Now, these aren't quite two weeks long but serve as great inspiration until 2025 comes into view. It also might be helpful for you to know that recently, the Magic has spent summers sailing in
Europe, the Wonder spends them in
Alaska, while the Dream and Fantasy navigate the
Bahamian and
Caribbean waters. This also means that many of the longer sailings you'll find are one-way cruises on the Magic and Wonder.
Oh, and I almost forgot: between now and 2025, we're scheduled to welcome not one, not two, but THREE new ships to the Disney Cruise Line fleet! With the upcoming inaugural sailing season of the
Disney Wish serving as a taste of things to come, by the time your honeymoon comes around, your options will be more plentiful than ever!
Thank you so much for letting me share in the joy of your plans, Natasha! When the big day gets closer, I hope you'll sail our way again here at planDisney and let us help you ensure all the details are practically perfect in every way!
Congratulations again!
Andrew
