Hello, Mark! Welcome to planDisney!
If your friend uses a
wheelchair or another mobility device, most public areas on all of the Disney Cruise Line ships are wheelchair accessible. This includes theatres, restaurants, shops, and public restrooms. You can also reserve a wheelchair-accessible stateroom, which has a 32-inch wide door and other accessibility features. All mobility devices must be stored in your stateroom and not in public passageways.
There are elevators on each deck, but there is some walking involved if you need to get from the Forward part of the ship to the Aft part of the ship on any one particular deck. If you are trying to make it to a live show or have a reservation in one of the
adult-exclusive restaurants, I suggest giving yourself plenty of time to get there. Elevators fill up quickly around dinner time and when the ship arrives at a Port of Call, too.
Your friend can complete the
Special Services form to request accessibility assistance. This can be completed any time prior to your cruise. This guide with
Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions is also helpful while planning your cruise. Mark,
planDisney is here for you and your friend if you have any other questions as well.
Adventure is out there!
