Hi there, Maria!
July is a fun month to explore all that Walt Disney World has to offer. Days are longer, shows and parades are in full swing, and the water parks are an absolute necessity.
You'll definitely want to prepare for the warm weather. Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and did I mention .... sunscreen? These are all necessities. Invest in some good walking shoes - not flip-flops! - and some rain ponchos. And water. You'll want lots of water on hand. It's critical to stay hydrated.
Your first and best in-Park planning tip, is, in my opinion, to create for yourself a list in priority order of "must do," "must see," "must eat," and "must meet". In other words, what rides are critical for your traveling party? What parades/shows/nighttime spectaculars? Are there restaurants or food items you'd like to try? and what character experiences would you like to have -- or would you like your children to have?
Check out the
Disney Parks Web site to get an idea of the attractions that are available, as well as shows, character experiences, and nighttime fun. That kind of "research" will help guide you as you craft that list.
You'll likely find that some Parks get more "face time" on your list than others. This will help you determine the best way to disperse your tickets - how many days should you spend at the Magic Kingdom, at Epcot, etc.
If you'd like, drop me a line with some of your traveling party favorites: foods, characters, etc. I'd be delighted to help you plan a more specific itinerary.
Have a wonderful time!
See you later, celebrator,
-Deborah B.
