Hi my name is maria, And myself and my mother and 2 boys are coming on December its my sons first time to disney and i want to make it more magical because its my sons birthday, can i get ideas on dining and gifts and how to make it more magical

Hi, Maria!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I cannot think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than the Walt Disney World Resort!  When you're celebrating a birthday and a first visit, that's even more reason to celebrate!  It would be my pleasure to help you find some ways to add a little extra pixie dust to your visit.

Be sure to make dining reservations for a special birthday dinner.  Dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance.  I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the amazing Walt Disney World Resort restaurants, but perhaps a character dining experience would make for a fun birthday celebration.  Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorite character meals.  A dinner show such as Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show can also be a lot of fun for a special occasion.  Did you know that you can even have a specialty cake delivered to many Walt Disney World Resort restaurants?

Disney Floral & Gifts has many magical options if you would like to have a birthday gift delivered to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room.  You might also want to take a look at the Enchanting Extras Collection which consists of over 100 unique experiences throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.  You're sure to find something to make any occasion even more magical!  In my opinion, celebrating a birthday with an event such as the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace sounds practically perfect in every way!

Be sure to ask a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or at any Guest Relations location for "Happy Birthday," "First Visit," or "I'm Celebrating" buttons.  You never know what kind of magic will come your way when you wear your buttons.

Wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
