Hi Lucy, and welcome to planDisney!

You have come to the right place to start your Walt Disney World Resort vacation journey! First, congratulations to you and your fiancé; I know that this is a magical time for you both!

To start the vacation planning process, visiting the Walt Disney World Resort website is a great place to start if you seek to reserve a vacation package. It is truly a one-stop-shop (so to speak). Once you have a handle on when you would like to visit, you can input your dates and the number of guests that will be traveling with you, and I would leave the Resort Hotel section as “All Resort Hotels”; that way, you can see all of the resorts available during your proposed stay and find the one that fits your wants and budget. Once you have selected a room, you will be able to choose which theme park ticket you are most interested in and be able to make your theme park reservations. You will then check out, provide the deposit, and start the real fun. Before making your reservations, I recommend creating your My Disney Experience account and including your fiancé on your Family & Friends List so that you will be able to make plans for you both. Of course, you are also free to make the reservations separate (resort, theme park tickets, and more), but it is easier to book a vacation package, especially if it is your first visit (in my opinion).

Please come on back and let us know when you have additional questions. We will be here to guide you through the process if you need us.

    Have a magical time!
