Hi Lucie! We are so happy you are here at planDisney and hope that we can help you find you a way to the Happiest Place on Earth very soon! As our wise friend Remy says, "The only predictable thing about life is its unpredictability." It's certainly been a year of learning how to go with the flow over here as well as our family trip to
Disneyland Resort has been moved around a few times!
I have great news for you, while tickets are non-refundable you do have some flexibility on when you can use them. It sounds like you have two,
single-day tickets, which can be used up through their expiration date. No formal "cancellation" is required if you decide not to attend on the date for which you purchased a ticket, but if you had made a
theme park reservation, you might consider releasing it so another Guest may be able to use it. Never hurts to pay a little pixie dust forward! You can find out when your tickets will expire by logging into
Disneyland Mobile App, pulling up the menu by clicking the three bars at the bottom right and opening up "Tickets and Passes". There you should see any active theme park tickets along with the expiration date.
When it comes to rescheduling your day, all you will need to do is make a new
theme park reservation for your date! Be sure to take a peek at the
theme park reservation calendar to ensure that your preferred park is available for your new day. There are also just a few things to keep in mind when rescheduling single-day tickets. One is that they have tiered pricing depending on the day and season that you were originally planning to attend. Your ticket is valid for any dates in the same or lower tier. If you do decide to attend on a day that is of a higher tier, upgrading your ticket may be an option. I recommend calling Disneyland resort
Guest Services ahead of time to get the latest information on availability. If you are not able to visit the parks before the expiration date, the amount paid for the unused, expired ticket can be put towards the purchase of a new ticket.
Hopefully just like a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, knowing that the magic is always waiting for you at the Disneyland Resort will make putting a pause on your trip a bit easier. One of the things I love most is that there is always something new to discover each and every time I step foot in the parks. This year will even see the return of some fan-favorites like the Main Street Electrical Parade, Fantasmic! and World of Color in addition to festivals and celebrations like
Lunar New Year and
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. There is so much to look forward to, and I just know you will have the best time when you are able to make it to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Well, Lucie, I hope you found this helpful in your planning. If you have any other questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
