Hi! My name is Kathleen, and I have a quick question. When planning a group trip to Walt Disney World, do we all need to buy an Annual Pass? Or does only one person need it? If only one of us has it, can it be applied to everyone in the group? Thanks!

    Hi Kathleen!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

There are many different ticket options to consider when planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you are staying onsite at a place like Disney’s Pop Century Resort or staying outside of the Walt Disney World Resort, each person in the travel party must have a valid ticket. You can choose to visit one Theme Park or all four of them. There are also options for both Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

The Walt Disney World Resort also has a few options for Annual Passes to choose from. An Annual Pass is only available to use for the person it is assigned to. Some perks come with being an Annual Passholder, including discounts on select dining, select merchandise, Standard theme park parking is free, and Disney PhotoPass downloads are included with the pass. Your discounts are available to the Passholder. If you are dining as a big group and are paying the bill, you can apply the dining discount to the check at participating locations.

Since you will be traveling with a large group, there are Resort Rooms available for Parties of five or more, including Deluxe Villas and Family Suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. If you are looking for assistance with booking your getaway and are looking for ten or more guest rooms, consider contacting Disney Group Getaways for assistance. For all other needs, don’t hesitate to contact the Disney Reservation Center.

I hope that I have helped to answer your question! Please stop back and see us real soon with any other vacation planning questions!
