Hi there, Joseph! We are so happy to have you here at planDisney! We just love helping fellow Guests in planning their visits to the Happiest Place on Earth.
As you have already discovered, as part of the
return to the magic, Guests are required to have both a
theme park ticket as well as a
theme park reservation to enter the parks. This is in place to help Mickey and Minnie know how many Guests to expect each day to maintain the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. Currently, you need a ticket in order to make a reservation so you would not be able to reserve your day in advance of purchasing your ticket. The good news is that there still may be reservations available for May 10th by the time you are able to make your purchase on May 3rd. You are always welcome to keep an eye on the
theme park reservation calendar. The calendar shows live updates, and since reservations can be canceled and rescheduled, it is constantly changing as Guests modify their plans. If May 3rd comes and you do not see availability for the 10th, keep checking! Reservations can (and often do!) open up!
I'm going to wish upon a star that you are able to visit the Disneyland Resort next month! If you are able to make it, be sure to stay until the sun goes down so that you can enjoy some epic nighttime spectaculars! As of April 22nd, the skies will ignite with magic over both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure park with the return of
Disneyland Forever fireworks, the
Main Street Electrical Parade, and
World of Color! Grab yourself some of that beloved Disneyland popcorn or maybe a sweet treat and let the magic settle in around you!
Joseph, I know this was not the news you were hoping for, but I'm still hopeful that you will be able to visit next month! If you have any more questions, please come back to see us here at planDisney.
Never stop dreaming,
Tara
