Hi! My name is Jackie and with our family are planning to spend New Year’s eve at Epcot. Do we need to buy special tickets for that night? Do we still need to make a reservation for those busy days at the 4 Parks?

EPCOT is a great Disney Park to welcome the new year, Jackie! I’m glad you’re thinking about the best questions to ask as you plan your visit!

Theme park reservations are no longer necessary for Guests with date-based tickets. Also, special tickets are not needed to enter EPCOT (or any of the Disney Parks) on New Year's Eve. Guests will just need regular theme park admission to enjoy the theme parks!

Jackie, to help with your planning, I’d like to share a New Year's Eve PRO TIP with you! The Disney Parks, particularly Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, are very popular on New Year's Eve. The parks have been known to reach capacity on this exciting night. If a park reaches capacity, Guests might not be able to enter. First, I recommend arriving at the park early and plan on remaining in the park. Next, I recommend making some delicious Disney Dining reservations because you will have a long day in the park. EPCOT has some of the best dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort! Consider making a lunch and dinner reservation for your New Year's Eve visit!

I hope you’ll take a moment to visit my favorite new area of EPCOT. Dreamer’s Point is a recent addition to EPCOT featuring a statue of a smiling Walt Disney! Walt is seated, allowing Guests to sit next to him for photographs. I love that EPCOT added a way for Guests to “connect” with a man who has brought such happiness to the world!

    Dreams do come true!
