Does the name on a guest ticket need to be exactly as it is on the guests license? For example, my husband’s name is Jeff in the guest ticket and his license has Jeffrey. Thank you

Hey there, Sharon, and welcome to planDisney!

Having tickets to the Disney Parks is something to get excited about. Y'all are about to have the time of your lives at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

If your husband's Walt Disney World ticket is under Jeff, he shouldn't have a problem. I don't think his nickname should set off any alarm bells. In any case, I've never personally been asked for ID at a park with a standard ticket. The only thing to note is that the same person has to use the same ticket the entire time, and his fingerprint will be scanned and used as part of the park entry process. After that, whether it's Jeff or Jeffrey tapping that ticket, the fingerprint will unlock the fun.

Pro-tip: I would only be mindful of the name difference with special tickets, such as a Florida Resident ticket or an Annual Pass. Those tickets tend to have identification requirements attached.

Sharon, I hope you and Jeff/Jeffrey have a magical time. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
