Hi Chris!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited for you because fall is my absolute favorite season for a Walt Disney World vacation, thanks in large part to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. I think Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will make one SUITE location as your home away from home (sorry for the pun, but I think we all need them about now).

My family loves to be able to take advantage of the amazing resort pools during our Walt Disney World vacations. So I’m reading the tea leaves and seeing you’d like to know the status of the Big Blue Pool project! Currently, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has a banner online stating that the Big Blue Pool will be closed for refurbishment “beginning in fall of 2020.” I’ve consulted Madame Leota’s crystal ball, and unfortunately she has given me no further guidance beyond that to answer your question. (I believe she must be taking a long-needed siesta, so I guess we can forgive her!) However, it appears that the Schoolyard Sprayground will remain open along with the Flippin’ Fins Pool and Cozy Cone Pool.

My advice? Keep checking for updates on the Disney Parks Blog. And if splashy shenanigans are needed, how about partaking of Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach during your stay? In my experience, the weather may be practically perfect for a water park visit!

I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed that you and your family are able to cross the pond in November for your magical Disney vacation!
